Hillary Clinton Unveils $275 Billion Infrastructure Plan

Hillary Rodham Clinton is promising hundreds of billions of dollars in new federal spending in an effort to compete with the liberal economic policies of her presidential primary challengers.

Mrs. Clinton presidential campaign next month will focus on her “jobs agenda”. Clinton’s proposal is for a five-year, $275 billion plan that creates jobs to fix America’s roads and bridges.

“To build a strong economy for our future, we must start by building strong infrastructure today”, said Clinton inside the Great Hall. “I want our cities to be in the forefront of cities anywhere in the world. We need to put people to work now”.

Clinton also said that she wants all American households to have access to high-speed internet by 2020, and that it’s unacceptable that 35 percent of schools in the USA don’t have fiber optic connections.

Clinton’s proposed infrastructure bank would also administer a renewed and expanded version of the Build American Bonds program would also administer part of a renewed and expanded Build American Bonds program, which was launched as part of the 2009 Recovery Act.

‘I’m the only Democrat in this race pledged to raise your income, not your taxes, ‘ Clinton said at an earlier event in Boston. “This is not my first rodeo”.

Hillary Clinton spoke during a Grassroots Organizing meeting joined by Boston Mayor Martin Walsh at Faneuil Hall on Sunday.

“Nobody comes closer to her experience, nobody comes closer to her achievements”, Walsh continued, adding that he chose Clinton because she was “battle-tested” and “gets the job done”.

“Get your sledge hammers ready, because we’ve got a glass ceiling to demolish!” he shouted into the microphone, before turning the stage over to Clinton.

Clinton expects to make additional announcements before the end of the year focused on boosting federal investments in research and manufacturing.

As the crowd went nuts, Walsh said it’s time to elect a woman as president of the United States.

After his speech, O’Malley rejected the idea that his long-shot candidacy was aimed at becoming vice president. She emphasized that the country’s infrastructure- airports, bridges, electric grids, railways, and roads need repairs.

More details of the a US$275 billion infrastructure spending plan will be released later this week.

“Some candidates may be running to make a point”, she said, a veiled criticism of Sanders. “We will never quit”. “This afternoon just gets better and better”, she said, after Walsh leaned in to whisper something to her. She also mentioned her friendship with the late mayor Tom Menino. “She has the support of hard hats unions, nine of them so far out of the 17”.

The former first lady also promised to protect union rights on Sunday.

They covered some common ground, including defending Planned Parenthood and calling for more gun control after last Friday’s shooting at a clinic in Colorado.

Republicans have called the plan irresponsible, noting that Clinton has now proposed more than $1 trillion in new spending.
