Adele’s 25 makes United Kingdom chart history with 800000 album sales
In more technical terms, the band’s “No Strings Attached” album sold 2,416,000 copies back in 2000, which was (and remained) the most sales any single album made during its debut week…until now. However, according to the Billboard magazine’s estimation for its first week sales, 25 was initially expected to break more than one million sales in North America.

“I have been bluffing this whole time and I’m so relieved to finally tell you I am of course coming on tour and I can’t wait to see all of you there”.
“I have a yearning for myself from, like, 10 years ago when my only responsibility was writing songs for myself before anyone cared and getting to school on time”, she said. “‘Cause what if I never love again”.
Adele’s decision not to stream her new hit album “25” on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services may have contributed to her huge first week sales, which have smashed records in the US and the UK. “We hope that she will give those fans the opportunity to enjoy 25 on Spotify alongside 19 and 21 very soon”. The hotly-anticipated set of new songs from the Tottenham chanteuse recorded 800,307 units giving her the highest opening week sales in United Kingdom chart history.
Yet Adele nonetheless is carrying the hopes of the music industry.
Adele is officially the UK’s biggest selling artist, as her new album becomes the fastest selling record in British history.
25 has reached double platinum status already. If anything, this production doesn’t bury Adele’s artistry but makes her even more accessible – if that is even possible – to audiences younger and more inclined to genres like folk and country.
On “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”, the second track of the album, the melodies contrast deeply to the usual Adele ballad as a attractive ensemble of voices join in for the upbeat chorus. “God, I can’t even say that anymore”.
Adele’s 25, on the other hand, has had a full seven days – from last Friday to yesterday (Thursday, November 26) – to rack up its first chart week sales.
