Stedman Bailey shot in the head
“Whether you’re a coach or you’re a father or you’re a family member, anytime something like that happens it’s very, very hard”, Fisher said after practice. A report from NFL.com said that Bailey, though incurring two wounds in the head, did not have life-threatening injuries, which means that he is in stable condition.

“We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident”, the team said in a statement.
Stedman Bailey is from the Miami area.
The St. Louis Rams issued a statement late Tuesday as the news broke.
Several of Bailey’s Rams teammates took to Twitter to offer their support and asked fans to keep him in their thoughts. The incident happened when a auto drove by Bailey while he was parked outside a house, and someone in the vehicle then proceeded to open fire. I don’t have specifics right now, but what I can tell you is that he’s in stable condition. Three others in the vehicle, including two children, were not wounded, police said. “And focus in on the important things in life”, said Rams tight end Jered Cook.
Rams coach Fisher said the surgery took between four and six hours.
Bailey is resting in intensive care according to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport and will undergo surgery Wednesday.
Players from around the league reached out on social media shortly after reports emerged. “As soon as we get ’em, we’ll share ’em with you”.
London: Washington could become the first team to play two games in London in one season – in consecutive weeks, no less.
That sentiment was echoed by San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett, who wrote, “Prayers out to my dawg Stedman Bailey man”.
Bailey, 25, had 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown this season as the team’s third wide receiver before the suspension. During his time as a Mountaineer, Bailey amassed 210 receptions for 3,218 yards along with 41 touchdowns. Using the ball as a prop in TD celebrations is against National Football League rules, thus the fine.

The Rams signed free agent wide receiver Wes Welker after Bailey’s second suspension. Bailey was scheduled to return to the field on December 7.
