Chrysler to face sanctions over vehicle recalls

Analysts’ estimated GM sales to fall less than one percent.

Nissan benefited from the growth of its popular crossovers as well, with sales of the Nissan Murano and Rogue jumping almost 75 percent and 55 percent, respectively, for the month of June. Chrysler also had a strong June with sales rising by 28% on the robust take up of its mid-size sedan. The rush to small crossovers, regarded as relatively efficient and offering more utility than traditional cars, is likely to remain intact regardless of fuel prices.
