Jones is due back in court next week.

The investigating officers have not been able to positively identify the body as that of Jones’ 7-year-old son but tests are being run. The child abuse charge, described as “torturing or cruelly beating”, is “the tip of the iceberg” in the case involving the boy, Gorman said. Sources believe that the boy was beaten to death and then fed to pigs on the property.

Are human remains found at the home those of a missing a 7-year-old boy?

However bad the officers expected the scene to be, however, likely fell short when investigators made a “sickening” discovery – one alarming enough to warrant an incredibly high $10 million bond. Neighbours told cops they hadn’t seen the boy in some time. Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman declined Monday at a news conference to address a report that officials are investigating whether the remains had been fed to pigs.

Seven of those kids are now in protective custody while the medical examiner works to ID the remains. It is still unclear to investigators who the mother of each child is but they know that Jones’ current wife is not the mother of the missing boy.

An autopsy on the remains will be completed sometime this week, and the district attorney said he is confident an identity will be determined. It also was littered with other items, such as mattresses and lawn equipment.
