Standing firm… Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans to meet with his Turkish counterpart without an apology.
Russian Federation and Turkey have been at odds since the latter shot down the jet near the Turkey-Syria border last Tuesday, saying it had violated Turkish airspace.
Ankara will not apologise for downing a Russian fighter jet on the Syrian border but Moscow should reconsider retaliatory sanctions, the Turkish prime minister has said.

Moscow and Ankara are at daggers drawn over the incident last Tuesday, with Russian Federation announcing a raft of economic sanctions against Turkey and the two leaders engaging in a furious war of words.
After rejecting Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s offer of face-to-face talks on the sidelines of a United Nations climate summit outside Paris on Monday, Putin accused Ankara of seeking to protect IS oil exports – an important source of funds for the terrorist group.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called the moves a “first step” as Moscow also said it would limit Turkish transport firms and tighten controls on construction contracts.
The pilot’s body was handed over to Turkey at the weekend, CNN reported.
