Kobe Bryant Retiring Is a Favor to the Los Angeles Lakers

Lakers ticket prices are soaring – some as much as 1,000 percent higher – after Kobe Bryant announced he’ll wrap up his 20-year career after this season. Kobe will likely play his last game on April 13, 2016, which is the last game of the regular season of Los Angeles, as the postseason is likely not in the cards for the Lakers.

Durant is the deputy publisher of The Players’ Tribune, the online publication that ran Bryant’s poem Sunday announcing his retirement.

Bryant, who helped lead the Lakers to the National Basketball Association title five times, is averaging 15.5 points per game but shooting below 31 per cent this season.

“He’s the closest thing we’ve seen to Michael Jordan”, Johnson said.

Most people in the NBA Los Angeles Lakers organization will tell you that the pain tolerance of Bryant was very high on his skill list.

Today, we highlight some of the reactions that hip-hop has had since The Black Mamaba’s announcement yesterday.

Unfortunately, Bryant has no choice but to end his run at the lowest point of his career rather than continue to drag out the undoing of one of the most determined stars in National Basketball Association history.

“I fell in love with you”.

“I’ve been disappointed this year because you guys (media) treated him like sh**. You guys treated one of our legends like [expletive] and I didn’t really like it”.

“I know how focused he is and I know how dedicated he is to making sure he’s ready for every game”, Scott said.

Kobe is shooting 20% from the floor and 30% on 3-pointers for a 2-14 team. I want you to know now.

But injuries limited him to only 41 games over the last two seasons.

Kevin Durant: “I did idolize Kobe Bryant. He put his mark on the game”, Durant, who was Bryant’s teammates with the United States basketball national team, added in the interview. You asked for my hustle I gave you my heart Because it came with so much more.

Retired soccer star David Beckham posted on Instagram.com, “There are many words that describe this man but for me the one that Kobe stands for is “winner”…”
