The Bengals Rout The Rams And Rediscover Who They Are
“It’s good to get a win, and it’s good to get a win the way we did”.

The Rams’ offense is the worst in the league for passing and recalled quarterback Nick Foles threw three interceptions, with the Bengals’ Leon Hall returning one for a 19-yard touchdown.
That is exactly what they received Sunday afternoon, riding the arm of quarterback Andy Dalton to a 31-7 shellacking of the scufflingSt.
“Promptly after the conclusion of yesterday’s game, we began a review to determine the facts of the injury to St. Louis quarterback Case Keenum and why he was not removed from the game for the necessary evaluation by a team physician or the unaffiliated neuro-trauma consultant as required by our concussion protocols”. “It was a key to the game, both sides controlling the line of scrimmage”, said coach Marvin Lewis.
The Bengals have limited opponents to 10 points or less in four of the last five games. “His foot’s a little sore, as we knew it would be”, Lewis said. “Success is precious. You just have to stick to what you do”. Anquan Boldin caught an 18-yard pass on fourth-and-20 to clinch the win for Arizona. The rookie had eclipsed 100 yards rushing in four games this season.
Fisher excused his special teams from the mix, but no matter how he chooses to slice up the pie, the truth is that the word “execution” is nothing but coachspeak for “not good enough”. “We just have to go out and continue to grunt”. It was his 21 career interception as a Bengal in his sixth season with the team, tying him for sixth with Tory James (2003-06) on the franchise’s all-time interceptions list. “We did. We kind of strangled them as far as running the ball”. The Rams rushed for 94 yards, 60 of which came on a 60-yard run by WR Tavon Austin.
Austin had a team-high 63 yards on four runs. While he completed 30 of 46 passes, he passed for only 228 yards, an average of 7.6 yard per completion. And with running back Jeremy Hill struggling and Gio Bernard as much of a weapon in the passing game, the rushing attack has become more of a sub-plot for Cincinnati’s offense. He had been sacked eight times in the previous two games. Though this is not a new idea – the blueprint probably bears Bill Belichick’s fingerprints – these Bengals are more businesslike than were some of their forebears.
Despite the response, Cincinnati enforced their will on the Rams on the ensuing possession, with Dalton piloting a 10-play, 80-yard drive ending in a 22-yard touchdown pass from Dalton to Eifert.
Next season the Rams would play the Redskins in London if each team finished at identical places in the NFC West and NFC East, respectively. Cincinnati will get the job done this week and will improve to 9-2 on the season. Dalton is 29 yards away from joining Peyton Manning as the only National Football League players to throw for 3,000 yards in each of their first five seasons….
Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams left Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the first quarter after suffering a shoulder injury.

“Anyone who implies that it’s an effort issue, they can kiss my ass because there’s no effort problem”, Fisher told reporters at Paul Brown Stadium before abruptly ending his post-game press conference while a pair of reporters were in mid-question.
