How Holm shocked the world that Rousey built
It was all about style and I heard someone say Holm was like Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson. Some also said that Rousey’s loss was well-deserved because of her poor sportsmanship.

The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion wrote the following message on Facebook about Holm, calling her the greatest of all time in women’s combat sports. A new champion was crowned after Holm finished the fight with strikes on the ground.
Holm, 34, shocked the sporting world by dominating the 28-year-old from Venice, subjecting Rousey to repeated punches in the first round before finishing her by knockout with a kick to the head that rendered Rousey briefly unconscious. Well, Electronic Arts spokesman Brad Hilderbrand put a quick end to that speculation, confirming on Monday (via ESPN) that Rousey will still grace the cover alongside a yet-to-be-announced male fighter. I couldn’t tell you how many times I cried in the gym leading up to it.
UFC President Dana White stated that Holm’s victory over Rousey was without doubt the biggest upset in the sport’s history.
“She will be back, absolutely, she is an fantastic athlete”, he said.
“I am sorry Vegas”, said Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez.
“At one point, we were approaching six digits on our loss”, SuperBook assistant manager Ed Salmons said.
In a celebratory statement after her win, Holm told Newsweek that defeating Rousey was no easy feat and she had the proper coaching in order to prepare for her fight, which eventually led to her win against Rousey. “That was a great test for her, and look at how she came back, she came back a multi-time world champion”.
The video doesn’t recreate the entire match blow for blow, but its does contains two interesting aspects.

But obviously in better spirits yesterday, she posted on Instagram.
