Volunteers needed for Christmas Campaign
The Salvation Army needs volunteers to ring the bell.

One of her fondest memories is the love and attention her family received last Christmas following donations to the Eastern Courier Christmas Appeal.
With Black Friday being the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season, many are focused on snagging a good deal.
With loud renditions of classic Christmas carols, the Salvation Army enlisted a school-full of Regina children to kick-off their Christmas Kettle campaign this year. If you’d like to volunteer or donate, call the Salvation Army at 477-9878. So far in 2015, The Salvation Army of Davidson County has served more than 20,000 people through its social service programs that provide food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance to those in need.
The Clarksville Salvation Army is once again supporting the community with their hard work over the holidays and your help is needed. The bell ringing at local stores will be from 11 a.m.to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.to 7 p.m. Saturdays. “My wife Yolanda and I do this every year and we look forward to it. Again, another opportunity to say thank you”. For many years a volunteer in Bainbridge, Clowers Goodwin, roasted the turkeys, but he passed away from cancer this year. This is a way they give back to the community for all that they do for their organization.
“When I first moved here Major Shirley helped me get beds and clothes for my four grandchildren”, Moskal said. Everyone in the community is always welcome to come, said Edmonds.
The Red Kettle Campaign has been ringing in help for those in need for 124 years.

The Salvation Army says the toys not only bring the children happiness, but bring peace of mind to many parents as well.
