Stephen Curry came to the fore as the Golden State Warriors extended their NBA-record winning start to the season to 19 games after edging out the Utah Jazz 106-103.

The last week of National Basketball Association action was a historic one as the Golden State Warriors both tied and broke the record for most wins to start an National Basketball Association season. The slow-paced Jazz controlled tempo and generally played the style they prefer, trailing by double digits for all of 14 seconds on the night. At some point, the Warriors, now 19-0, have to lose, or so we assume. Former Sun Leandro Barbosa was a flawless 5-of-5 from beyond the arc.

In the end, Curry scored 10 of Golden State’s 16 points in the final six minutes to lead the Warriors to another win.
The Philadelphia 76ers last win came on March 25 last season. The only blemish the Warriors had was missing nine free throws.
Notes Larry Nance Jr., Julius Randle and Lou Williams led the Lakers in scoring with 10 points apiece.
Utah’s defense forces its opponents to commit an average turnover percentage of 16.7%, ranked fourth in the league. The Jazz did not on that last second shot. Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight combined for 28 points.
At the same time, those contributions are part of what makes the Warriors so special. As it happens, that Bulls team from 20 years ago and this season’s Warriors have something in common.
