Family Of Robert Durst’s First Wife Files $100 Million Lawsuit Over Her
Should her mother and sisters win the suit, they’ll literally be taking Durst for nearly all he’s got: Durst’s net worth is estimated to be about $100 million.

Robert Durst is transported from Orleans Parish Criminal District Court to the Orleans Parish Prison.
Almost nine months after Robert Durst seemingly confessed to multiple murders during the chilling finale of HBO’s mini-series The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, the eccentric real-estate heir is being sued for $100 million in litigation related to the 1982 disappearance of Durst’s first wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst. McCormack’s body has never been recovered.
Now, according to the Times, McCormack’s family-her 101-year-old mother, and three of her sisters-filed their lawsuit in State Supreme Court in Mineola, New York, alleging that Durst not only “murdered Kathleen” but also violated an obscure New York law granting families the right to sepulcher.
“The family’s priority has been and continues to be to provide Kathleen with a proper and dignified burial”, attorney Robert Abrams, who represents the McCormacks, told The New York Times. Other than his vague, televised bathroom ramblings, Durst has maintained his innocence in Kathleen’s disappearance.

Durst is also awaiting extradition to California where he’s expected to be charged for killing his friend Susan Berman.
Kathleen Durst’s brother, Jim McCormack of New Jersey, filed a wrongful-death suit against Durst in October.
Robert Durst’s lawyer, Dick DeGuerin, says there is no evidence Durst was involved in Kathleen Durst’s disappearance. McCormack has never been found, and authorities lacked the evidence to ever charge Durst with a crime. They are asking for at least $50 million in compensation and general damages, and $50 million in punitive damages.

Robert Durst is now being held in New Orleans, where he was detained while The Jinx was still airing on a gun charge. “Killed them all, of course”.
