The Vikings are now 8-3 and remain in first place in the NFC North.

Today’s Minnesota Vikings vs Atlanta Falcons NFL football game has a start time schedule of 1:00pm eastern time and airs on TV channel FOX in some markets along with DirecTV Sunday Ticket nationwide. The Packers are a strong team, and Minnesota was just not able to establish the run like they have in previous games.

A first-round pick in 2012, Smith has steadily increased his performance to become one of the NFL’s best safeties. Julio Jones led in receiving with 160 yards in nine catches.

If the playoffs started Sunday, the Vikings would have played host to the Falcons in the wild-card round. Prior to the loss against Green Bay, the Vikings had won five consecutive games coming off their bye week. The Vikings have had a week to recover and review their mistakes.

Adrian Peterson ran for just 45 yards last week against the Packers, his second-lowest total of the season.

Veteran kicker Shayne Graham, signed by Atlanta on Thursday, is filling in for Matt Bryant, who will miss the game with a right quadriceps injury.

The Vikings have been very solid with Peterson on the ground, he will once again get a bulk of the carries. Of all the ten losses experienced by the 2014 Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta looked the worst in their game versus the Vikings. It was a league-leading seventh red zone turnover of the season by the Falcons. Ryan can ease the minds of Falcons fans by looking like his vintage self and putting the offense on his back.

But the 46-yard scamper was wasted when the rookie failed to keep a firm grip on the ball, allowing linebacker Anthony Barr to come up from behind and punch it away from Coleman, who has lost three fumbles this season. That faith from the head coach will be tested on Sunday. The Falcons need him to step up to big to lead to a victory. Teddy Bridgewater is a smart, mobile quarterback who knows how to deliver under pressure. Minnesota doesn’t have the best run game and Coleman is going to shred through the Vikings’ defense for at least 85 yards and a touchdown. It’s hard to stop a beast like AP, and I believe he will get his.

Two teams that have gotten jolts of reality thrown their way of late. The Vikings at the moment I believe just have too much that the Falcons can’t handle especially playing behind that home crowd. Check out 506Sports.com to see what games are available in your area.
