Sky Go arrives on Amazon Fire tablets
The retail giant announced today that they had record sales for Amazon branded devices, including the Echo, which sold for $179.99 and the Fire tablets which retailed for $49.99.

The company said the $50 Fire tablet is the “fastest-selling Amazon tablet ever” and that sales for the holiday weekend tripled year-over-year.
Sky’s mobile portal for Sky TV subscribers has always been available on the great majority of Android devices.
Amazon’s Black Friday sales have a not-so-surprising victor: Amazon.
But that didn’t seem to slow down Amazon’s hardware ambitions as the company made its device business the focal point of its most recent earnings release.
“We’ve already built millions – and we’re ramping up production to build millions more”, Limp said of the 7-inch Fire tablet, which PCMag named a top holiday gift pick. For the months of July-October 2015, Fire TV has been the #1 bestselling streaming media player in the United States across all retailers.
It’s brilliant that Amazon Fire tablets are now compatible with Sky Go in time for the great line up of TV this December.
Still, there’s some questions around Amazon’s claim to the Fire TV being the most popular streaming device in the US. Other popular deals included Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console bundles, Le Creuset cookware, Paco Rabanne fragrances and Star Wars toys.

Target, meanwhile, said the iPad was also a popular Black Friday item; “On average, Target sold an iPad every second throughout the day on Thanksgiving, [while] Apple Watch was especially popular in stores”, the company said.
