Both the iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan public betas offer free, built-in apps that let users submit their feedback to Apple.

Those anxious to go hands on with the upcoming version of iOS 9 can now download and install it. The beta has just released so install it at your own risk.

“Whenever you sign in with your Apple ID on a new device or browser, you will verify your identity by entering your password plus a six-digit verification code”, Apple says.

You have to enroll your iOS Device to get the iOS 9 public beta and the subsequent updates to the beta. At WWDC 2015, Apple launched developer version of iOS 9 with 1.8 GB installation size. However, because this is beta software that’s still in development, Apple recommends that you load El Capitan on a secondary Mac. The OS X beta, for example is 6 gigs big.

Out of the iOS-run devices, about 84% are updated with iOS 8, while 14% have iOS 7, and only 2% have iOS6, reports Apple. However, if a single iPad or iPhone is all you have, then it is better to desist!

The first public beta testing version of iOS 9 is available now, having launched on 10 July. And while you can always register your complaints via feedback tools, it might take a while before Apple rolls out an update to take care of those issues.

New features coming with OS X El Capitan mainly remain the “split screen” feature which will allow users to operate the same screen for two different purposes. Simply follow the steps given to download and use the beta.

Alongside the arrival of the Mac OS X El Capitan public beta earlier on Thursday, Apple is giving iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners the chance to get in on the next-gen action too.

You can expect an advance look at some of the features Apple debuted at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, including a smarter Siri, the Apple News app and Health Kit updates, among others.

The improved Notes app boasts features like the ability to make checklists, add photos to any notes or even doodle with your finger. You can see the progress of the download in the Purchases section of the App Store app. Warning: It’s 6 gigs!
