Another poor pass from defenseman Nicklas Grossmann set up Forsberg’s go-ahead goal, helping lead to the Coyotes’ first loss in 11 games in which they took a lead to the third period.

Nashville’s chances finally turned into goals. “Our puck play was poor to say the least tonight”.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Kyle Chipchura had the goals for Arizona, which saw it three-game winning streak end.

The Predators evened the score at 12:32 of the second period with a power-play marker of their own off the stick of Calle Jarnkrok. “As long as we win, it doesn’t really matter [if I score], but it’s always good to help the team get a win, especially here at home”.

Arizona Coyotes goalie Mike Smith (41) blocks a shot as Nashville Predators center Craig Smith (15) and Cody Hodgson (11) watch for the rebound in the second period of an NHL hockey game, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, in Nashville, Tenn. We turned it over in the first and second, too.

At 7:56 of the second period, Arizona’s Martin Hanzal checked Fisher into the left boards inside the Coyotes zone.

ABOUT THE COYOTES (13-9-1): Rookie Max Domi has recorded four points in his last three games and leads Arizona with 20 to go along with a team-best plus-8 rating.

“Our forecheck did a great job”, Predators defenseman Roman Josi said. “It was a big goal for us, but most importantly, the two points for us is what we needed”.
