The tech giant Apple has recently announced the next iOS version that is iOS 9 and for the first time ever, Apple has released a public beta of the OS. And even after you’ve attempted to fix the issue, there are times when you simply have to live with an app not working or a feature you used to rely on crashing your device.

Users must make that before they proceed to downloading the new software, they must back-up their data, and this doesn’t just apply to this upgrade, it applies to everything. Your notes will now be stored on iCloud, so your lists are updated across all your iOS devices.

We expect new iPads to come out a month after that, in October (see our iPad Air 3 rumours, iPad mini 4 rumours, and iPad Pro rumours), and these will have iOS 9 preinstalled. You will (obviously) need an Apple ID in order to do so, and you must ensure that you use the same ID of the device you want to access the public beta on.

Visit the OS X Beta Program guide for the latest information about the El Capitan beta and how to submit feedback.

The newest version of OS X does more than improve multitasking.

Before you start, back up your iPhone with iTunes and archive the backup.

After your device restarts, launch the Settings app and tap on General followed by Software Update.

Before installing the iOS 9 public beta, one needs to be aware of the fact it is not the final version of the iOS 9 and is bound to contain lots of bugs and flaws. The iOS version of this screen also allows you to open the device’s location in the Find My iPhone app, which is now built into the OS. This is, after all, unfinished software. It wouldn’t hurt if you’ve got everything backed up, but be prepared to deal with a cavalcade of bugs and other problems.

If your primary iPhone is what you depend on for work, then it is best to bypass iOS 9 beta. Why?

Warning: This is not a safe way to download a software update.
