Clinton Emails: Benghazi Testimony Contradicted In New State Department Emails

“Two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an al-Qaeda-like group: the Ambassador, whom I hand-picked, and a young communications officer on temporary duty w[ith] a wife and two young children”, she wrote.

For the second time, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton invoked the terrorist attacks on September 11 as a way to defend herself against critics who say Clinton has become too cozy with Wall Street.

At least two Senate committees are still investigating Clinton’s email arrangement and seeking the release of correspondence from her top aides. Barack Obama. There were charges of sexism and many suggestions that the channel’s coverage favored Obama.

Warren has delicately danced around questions revolving Clinton, publicly praising Sanders for fighting for what he believes in while steering clear of direct criticism of the front-runner.

Clinton’s plan would put $250 billion toward direct federal spending on infrastructure, while the remaining $25 billion would be seed funds to launch what her campaign described as a “strategic infrastructure bank”.

However, new emails released Monday contradict that claim, showing Clinton did indeed receive updates about “fresh attacks on Benghazi” on her unsecured, private email system. Clinton made the announcement while speaking to a crowd in Boston to launch the coalition of union of road workers, bridge builders and other construction workers who support Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton had previously said Mr. Blumenthal’s messages to her were unsolicited.

She then called on the Republican-controlled Congress to approve the use of ground troops against ISIL, emphasizing that doing so would signal “that the United States is committed to this fight”. On that trip she also visited Mongolia by stopping in the city of Ulaanbaatar briefly to “talk about deepening economic relations”, according to a State Department briefing.

But it was also meant to underscore Clinton’s near monopoly among Democratic lawmakers who have declared a preference, and her appeal as the first woman with a strong shot at becoming president. “So, yes, do I know people?” An October Monmouth University poll found 48% of Americans say she has not been honest in her explanation, although the same poll also found that 59% are exhausted of hearing about the issue.

“I think this will be one of those watershed elections where we’re either going to get the economy to work for everybody, or we are going to see increasing inequality and unfairness in a way that we haven’t seen since, you know, the 1920s”, said Clinton. The Clinton campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Politically, this sort of tax hike hand waving is a good move, because it allows Clinton to proposed hundreds of billions in new spending while saying, essentially, that of course it will be paid for-by someone else.
