Warriors win 19th straight, 106-103 over the Jazz

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. MT. They capped off a November to remember undefeated. It’ll be fascinating to see how the Bulls counter the Warriors’ small-ball attack (Draymond Green at center) when they’ve got the quartet of Taj Gibson, Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry humbly stated in RealGM that he felt like a better player than the past year.

Curry provided a barrage of scorching shooting, scoring the team’s final five points among a 10-point outburst in the final 6:20, to secure a 106-103 victory that extended the Warriors’ record-breaking start of the season to 19-0.

Curry averages 34.5 points in eight road games and has scored 34.3 over his last three visits to Utah. After Manu Ginobili missed for San Antonio, Butler hit two free throws with 10.6 seconds left. “We actually have to do something about it”. Hood dribbled right, looking for Hayward on a flare, and, getting a bit jumpy, Hood, having a clean look from right-side deep with nine seconds left, abandoned the pass, instead firing off a 3, even though there was still plenty of time remaining and a two-point shot was enough to win. He came to the Warriors’ sideline seeking to celebrate.

“He’s too stoic”, Curry said of Walker afterward, smiling. The Golden State Warriors have won 13 of their last 15 regular season road games.

“It was fun. We knew this was going to be one of the tougher challenges for us”, Warriors interim coach Luke Walton said. “We’re going to compete, and we’re still hungry”.

For a second there, the Utah Jazz had a chance.

And the Jazz had a golden opportunity to virtually end the Warriors’ remarkable start to the season when Hood unleashed from beyond the arc with five seconds left on the clock, but his shot missed. Livingston added a jumper that gave the Warriors a 95-92 lead. “It was a tough environment against a team that plays the style they do”.

“The confidence is spread throughout everyone on our team. WE have guys that embrace pressure and they seem to play better and are more sharp the more pressure and the bigger the stage”. The Jazz, as usual, got a lot of scoring punch from combo guard Alec Burks (19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, somehow only one FTA in this game, but he did hit two threes). I know the process: “You want to just stay in the moment as best as you can, and that’s how you stay focused, that’s how you stay within yourself, and we’ve done a great job of that so far”.

Klay Thompson added 20, including four 3-pointers. His 12 points at halftime were the most out of any Warriors player. Their much-documented win streak has made them the favorites to win the championship this season, an expectation that was formerly placed on the Cleveland Cavaliers. “Ian as soon as he got here, he felt like he was a part of something, so he’s playing at a really high level”. Their 93.2 points per game against is among the lowest in the National Basketball Association, but they give up the fewest field-goal attempts at 75.6 per contest. James Harden tallied 29 for Houston (7-11), which cut a 28-point first-half deficit to four in the fourth quarter before losing for the first time in the last three decisions.
