Largest batch yet of Clinton emails released by State Department

Roughly 1,000 of the e-mails have been redacted because they contain material that the intelligence community considers classified, according to the State Department.

One of the emails released Monday, about the pending release of thousands of diplomatic cables by transparency organization WikiLeaks in November 2010, had been flagged as classified earlier this year.

But one particularly influential female Democratic senator didn’t join her colleagues: Sen. Dorothea Hurley, the wife of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, checked in with Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, to say that they were “sending you all a big hug”.

Although the newest batch contained emails that had been released in previous productions, it also contained a number of Benghazi-related records that had not been previously disclosed.
