Ted Cruz: ‘We Don’t Have A Rubber Shortage In America’
While there, he generously shared his thoughts on birth control access, namely how easy it is to get some: “Last I checked, we don’t have a rubber shortage in America”.

Ted Cruz’s doesn’t usually stray much from this usual campaign stump speech at various events, but last night in Iowa, NBC’s Vaughn Hillyard reported that the Texas Republican was asked about his position “on making contraception available for women”.
Christie said he was the best the candidate to defend the United States, and that Cruz and Rubio couldn’t match his gubernatorial experience and tenure prosecuting terrorists as a U.S Attorney.

Calling the issue of contraception a “nonsense-issue”, the senator explained that he feels “anyone who wants contraceptives can access them”.
“I think what we’re struggling with as a country is how to protect Americans and also protect Americans, but also protect their individual liberties and their privacy expectations”, he added.
He said that Rubio and Cruz’s “self confidence” and “expertise” on foreign policy issues would win over the average voter. “You go, ‘Aha, the condom police!'”
That laugh line was one of many crowd-pleasers Cruz tossed out at the Values Voter Summit in 2013, where he courted the socially conservative Republicans who will be critical to his 2016 presidential hopes.
Rubio, a Florida senator, and Cruz, a Texas senator, have sparred over that issue in recent days. “I’ll tell you I am proud to be unambiguously pro-life, to support protecting every human life, from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death, I think every human life is a gift from God”, Cruz said in Newton, Iowa, Sunday.
Ted Cruz’s momentum isn’t bringing joy to the GOP senators, mostly because Ted Cruz has built his Senate career and presidential campaign on his willingness to stick it to the Republican establishment, claims the same source.
While touting his endorsement from the New Hampshire Union Leader and the crowds he is drawing at town halls in the Granite State, the New Jersey governor also knocked opponents Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio for their relative lack of government experience during an interview Tuesday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
Cruz touched on hot topics like Planned Parenthood, religious freedom, and the economy.
“When the war on women came up, Republicans would curl up in a ball and they’d say, Don’t hurt me.’ Jiminy Cricket!”

In Congress, Cruz has led the crusade to defund Planned Parenthood, and introduced a resolution to halt a D.C. law that would prevent women from being fired for their choices to use birth control, have a baby or have an abortion. “It’s pretty sad commentary”, Trump said.
