Chamberlain set to return for Arsenal’s trip to Norwich City

Two goals from Alexis Sanchez and a man-of-the-match performance from Mesut Ozil eased Arsenal to a comfortable win over their Croatian visitors to keep their European hopes alive and set up a showdown with Olympiakos for Champions League survival in a fortnight.

Arsenal FC are 3 points behind second placed Olympiacos having already lost to them 3-2, and will need to overturn this margin if they want to qualify from their group. “He believes in us, and we believe in him”. Arsenal was in control of possession and in control of the game in the first half, but Dinamo Zagreb was able to hold off the Arsenal attack early on.

“We wanted to be in with a chance and now it’s down to how we do at Olympiacos”. “He’s got the taste now for scoring”. I’ve never seen him in the box so many times as he has been in the last five or six games and that’s very good.

Arsenal’s 3-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night gave them a chance of qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League competition. “We now have a chance – how big a chance I don’t know but I believe we can do it”.

Alexis Sanchez is expected to feature for Arsenal against Norwich despite a hamstring issue, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return.

However, he was forced to play the full 90 minutes, as striker Olivier Giroud limped off following substitutions for Hector Bellerin and Santi Cazorla with just under ten minutes on the clock remaining. “Spontaneously it might not be the best moment to rest Alexis but I don’t know”, Wenger said.

Wenger said: “He goes now through a few tests and steps”. Then it depended on us and on the other result against Bayern, so at least tonight we are in with a chance. “We did a mistake last year with Monaco, we have learnt and we make sure not to do the same this year”.

Despite Chelsea’s travails in the Premier League-the defending champions lie 15th-they have fared slightly better in the Champions League, most recently beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 on Tuesday.

“Let’s forget that and focus on the Premier League with Norwich on Sunday and take care of the Premier League again”, he added.

“It’s not easy to play against them”, Zagreb coach Zoran Mamic said through a translator.
