Adele Fans May Have Had Identities Stolen After Purchasing Tickets

Tickets for Adele Live 2016 begin at 9am on Friday.

Although the problems took the shine off what was Songkick’s most high-profile artist ticketing partnership yet, the company will be hoping the lasting message from yesterday is that its tout-beating tactics worked.

Some secondary ticketing websites were asking fans to pay up to £858 in the lower tier of Manchester Arena, £550 in the upper tier and £599 on the floor.

Adele fans who recently purchased tickets for the singer’s upcoming tour may have had their identities stolen.

“Compared to other events, we believe these efforts helped to reduce resale by well over 50%, increasing the amount of fans that can attend these shows”.

Harris responded to this buy deleting the other customer’s credit card number and proceeded to purchase tickets for Adele’s show at the O2 in London for next March.

Advance sales for Adele’s Irish dates started this morning, and according to Twitter – it’s not going very well.

“Will she flex her muscle for more than just the charts?” wondered Hubbard. For example, the 2015 amendment of the UK’s Consumer Rights Act requires secondary sites to list the specific locations of their tickets for sale, which – if adopted properly – would allow for the full-scale cancellation of touts’ tickets.
