Mourinho: Costa wouldn’t use a bib to hurt me!
Gullit did admit that Costa’s behaviour when he realised that he wouldn’t be coming on – throwing his bib away in frustration – could pose a problem for the Chelsea manager going forward. I think it’s also normal. “So for me a number 10 is a very special player in my team”, Mourinho was quoted as saying in the Telegraph.

“If he wants to hurt me, it’s not with a bib”.
“I think Diego is very privileged because he was the last one to be (put) on the bench”, Mourinho added.
Both Kenedy and Ruben Loftus-Cheek got beckoned from the bench to the pitch yet Costa, who has only got four goals to his name this season, was seemingly forgotten about. Everyone has been on the bench – the captain [John] Terry, [Branislav] Ivanovic, [Gary] Cahill, [Cesc] Fabregas, Pedro and player of the season [Eden] Hazard.
“Us, the players, are not happy either”.
Hazard scored 14 times in the Premier League last season as Chelsea won the title, but the team as a whole have only managed 17 goals in their first 14 matches in this campaign.
With Hazard leading the line, Costa was left to stew on the bench and the Brazil-born Spain worldwide made his annoyance clear towards the end of the game when he tore off his bib and tossed it towards Mourinho. He is working well every day and his mood is positive. “We deserved more. We tried to win it”, said Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Mourinho revealed Costa was ready to play and warmed up when instructed to during the second half.
Stand-in skipper Ivanovic said: “I expect Diego to come back strongly”.
“For us the result is not what we want, but the performance is good”.
ESPN FC’s Steve Nicol believes that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho must punish Costa in some way to maintain order at the club. According to reports, there are problems in the Chelsea locker room and as we have all seen this season, no one is happy with the way the defending EPL champions have started the term.
“We play the champions”.

“We had the best chances and Lloris was the goalkeeper with the save of the game, so congratulations to them for the clean sheet”. Not easy. We’re the youngest team in the Premier League and the maturity we showed today we have shown in different games.
