“This ranks up there”.

“What gets lost in the record is the tough games we’ve had to claw our way out of like (Monday’s)”, he said. Green also had 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the Warriors, who improved to 9-0 on the road.

“Yeah, it was fun”. This was just a start, according to interim coach Luke Walton.

That’s the gap the Jazz now have to bridge, especially since, with the way they play defense, with their more deliberate style, they will not often blow out teams, nor get blown out of games themselves. Gordon Hayward finished with 24 points and Derrick Favors had 23 points and 10 rebounds of his own in a losing effort. They are pretty even teams so it should make for a good match up.

– A double screen for Hayward not developing like it was supposed to, leading to Rodney Hood’s missed 3-pointer with five seconds left with a chance to go ahead while trailing by one. “We had a chance”. Alec Burks scored 19 points off the bench.

The Warriors opened with a 26-20 first quarter but the Jazz made it close throughout the game. Tied at 101-101 entering the final minute of regulation, Curry nailed a stepback three with 51 seconds on the clock for what ended up being the winning bucket.

The lead didn’t last long. Two Favors free throws gave the Jazz an 88-87 lead after he drew a foul that was the sixth personal for Bogut.

Again, Utah’s lead was short-lived. And he’s averaging 5.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 2.6 steals and 5.0 3-pointers per game. Draymond Green grabbed the rebound, and Curry hit two free throws to seal the win. The Jazz is coached by Quin Snyder, a graduate of Mercer Island High School.

“I felt like we came out from the beginning of the game and had a defensive mindset”, Bradley said.

If you didn’t know better, it would have been easy to confuse Ian Clark for Curry in the first half.

The Pistons built a 23-point lead in the first half before the Rockets got back into the game by constantly intentionally fouling Drummond – he went 4-for-18 from the line.

Curry only had seven points on 3-of-8 shooting before the break.

It could be a factor in the Warriors staying undefeated as they continue this seven-game road trip on Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets.

The team already has beat their franchise record for 3-pointers and assists in a season.

The Jazz (8-8), who return to action Thursday at home against Orlando, have more positives than negatives to take away from this slugfest between a heavyweight and an up-and-coming contender. “That’s easy, he just has to get on the bus.”… The Warriors have now won 19 games in a row to start the season, an National Basketball Association record continued after the Warriors won their 16th. “Whether it means understanding how we have to play… knowing how to execute a game plan, and being able to measure yourself against the best team in the league”.
