Before lunching with Hollande at the French presidential palace, the recently elected Canadian prime minister visited the sites of the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris.
“As someone who attends these climate conferences, these are tough negotiations”.
“Prime Minister Trudeau has not yet explained how withdrawing Canada’s CF18s from the air combat mission will help our coalition partners defeat ISIS”.

Trudeau said he and Hollande also discussed cooperation between France and Quebec to prevent the radicalization of young people. I look forward to working together with President Hollande to deepen our bilateral relationship.
Earlier Monday, Trudeau reiterated some of Canada’s emission targets, but how they will be achieved hasn’t yet been nailed down.
“Every single one of us can and should be much more conscious of the ways we can act to reduce our carbon footprint”.
It was the last of Trudeau’s frenetic networking, which included sitting down with the presidents of the European Union and European Commission, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – where he accepted an invitation to visit Israel – and a brief address to an event hosted by the World Bank.

Because its membership includes industrialised G7 powers like Britain and Canada, emerging giants like India and tiny island microstates such as the Maldives, agreement in the Commonwealth has historically boded well for deals being struck beyond its bounds.
