He earlier said Turkey would not retaliate against Russia’s “emotional” sanctions imposed after the plane attack.
Russian Federation annexed the Ukrainian province of Crimea in 2014 and has been supporting rebels fighting the government in the eastern half of the country.
Montenegro’s accession likely would be finalized at the alliance’s summit in Warsaw next year, making it the first North Atlantic Treaty Organisation expansion since the organization took in Albania and Croatia in 2009.
He said there was “no question” of Turkey retaliating against Russian citizens living in the country.
Zakharova said Russian Federation had intelligence about Turkey buying oil from the IS group a while ago but preferred not to publicize it.
Turkey shot down a Russian jet last week, insisting it violated its airspace despite numerous warnings and has said it will not apologise for the incident that killed one Russian pilot and a Russian serviceman during the rescue mission.
U.S. President Barack Obama said Tuesday that he expected a “shift” in Russia’s strategy in Syria, referring to “fresh memories” in Moscow of the drawn-out Afghan war in the 1980s, Agence France-Presse reported Tuesday.
Mr Putin also accused Turkey of harbouring “terrorist organisations” running “in different parts of Russian Federation, such as the North Caucasus”.
“As soon as such a claim is proved, the nobility of our nation requires (me) to do this”, Erdogan told reporters at the climate change summit in Paris on Monday.
Russian Federation insisted that the jet stayed over the Syrian territory during the whole flight.
“The main consumer of oil stolen from legitimate owners in Syria and Iraq is Turkey”.
That’s how Obama described his big takeaway from his two brief meetings with Putin in the past two weeks-one after the Russian commercial plane explosion in Egypt and the terrorist attacks in Paris and the second here on Monday on the sidelines of the global climate conference – all during a month of stepped up Russian military involvement in Syria that included last week’s downing of a Russian fighter jet by the Turks.
” ‘Maybe I’m speaking too bluntly, but the control over that thievish business could only be given to the closest people, ‘ Antonov said, adding that Erdogan’s son heads a top energy company and his son-in-law has been named Turkey’s energy minister”.
“They are Turkish descendants”, Erdogan said.
In a rare interview, Assad told Czech TV that peace would come to Syria only when the west and its Middle Eastern allies – naming the US, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia and Qatar – “stop supporting terrorists”.
“[Russia] is our strategic partner, we will continue to provide them with products including food”, Erdogan said in an interview..
