“We only saw him when he gives you the tasks and in the boardroom”.

“Gary, I’m wondering whether you can ever shrug off that big corporate image”, said Lord Sugar.

Lord Sugar gestured for him to follow his team-mates, but Scott said, “It’s alright”.

Scott leaves the boardroom and the Apprentice process, telling his victorious teammates “I’m off”.

Galialiard? Gallialala? I’m just going to not say it, I think it’ll be easier“. You’re doing my job for me. “I’m an honourable man, and I stick to the rules – so all I can do is thank you very much indeed for putting yourself forward because you’ve actually made life a little bit easier for me”.

And once again, Karren Brady has to step in to stop one candidate fluffing the truth.

Claude Littner concurred: “He’s been floundering for weeks really”.

“In tonight’s show I was criticised a lot – not that constructive criticism is necessarily a bad thing – but it made me think that Lord Sugar and myself were simply not compatible as potential long-term business partners”.

Scott’s resignation came just before Selina Waterman-Smith was sacked from the boardroom for not closing any deals as the two teams attempted to sell high-end and mid-range property across London.

He confirmed: “My instincts tell me, we’re not going to make it Selina”.

Lord Sugar responds: “Well it’s your choice if you want to”.

Speaking in the taxi as she drove away from the boardroom, the 31-year-old events agency owner said: “The wrong person has been fired”.

The business executive replaced Nick Hewer as one of Lord Alan Sugar’s aides on the current series of the business contest but is also set to reprise his previous role in the upcoming interview stage of the process.

Waterman-Smith has repeatedly bashed the show on Twitter for her portrayal through the series, and recently labelled the show “crap” and “lame”.

Selina has been vocal about her disdain for the programme since it aired and tweeted that she had broken her contract with the show and would not be taking part in the spin-off programme You’re Fired, hosted by Jack Dee.
