The Clippers are expecting a better outcome after their 102-91 loss to the Jazz on Wednesday. The only thing that could make matters worse were to be if they were to lose one of the more promising young stars in the game, Anthony Davis.

Davis had 26 points and 17 rebounds and the Pelicans overcame a 17-point first half deficit for their third straight victory and second over the Suns in four days. The Pelicans trailed by as many as 17 points before rallying to beat the Suns for the second time in four days. While Utah’s defense is very much dependent on Rudy Gobert, Hayward is the one who drives the offense. They now rank fifth in the National Basketball Association in offensive efficiency while New Orleans ranks 29th in defensive efficiency.

Sure, the Clippers are in an obvious state of disarray right now, but going into a hostile environment and snapping a 13-game losing streak to a recent playoff regular is still a big accomplishment for this Jazz squad, particularly after coming off such a rough loss.

As evidenced by their perfectly even 7-7 record, the Utah Jazz have had an up and down season so far.

One month into the season, not only is the West 33-39 against the East, it also doesn’t have the typically calcified clump of teams racing out to impressive winning percentages. The Clippers forced six turnovers, leading to eight points. The Pelicans’ entire roster has been ravished with injuries, contributing to their miserable 4-11 start.

New Orleans fell to 4-12.

The conference foes will be squaring off for the first time this season.

Los Angeles Clippers’ Blake Griffin, top, puts up a shot against…

Stephenson sparked the Clippers in a second-quarter stretch with the starters, dishing out no-look passes and grabbing rebounds. In head-to-head matchups between Griffin and Davis, the Clippers are 8-1.

The total has gone OVER in 10 of the LA Clippers last 15 games at home. It was a necessary morale boost for a team that had lost eight of its last 11 games.

Jamal Crawford shot just 2 of 8 from the field for the Clippers. I don’t care if he scores a point.

Then, in the fourth, the Jazz went ahead by 21 again, and then allowed the Pellies to go on a 22-7 run.

New Orleans needs to lick their wounds quickly before taking the floor in Utah. With how often the Pelicans lean towards safety regarding the superstar, don’t expect to see him appear against the Jazz as he’ll likely sit on the sidelines alongside Jrue Holiday. The New Orleans Pelicans have a lower A/TO (1.63), ranking ninth.

“We know what we’re supposed to do, we know what we’re capable of”, said Jordan, whose team went out and defeated the Pelicans 111-90 before 19,060 – the team’s 200th consecutive sellout.
