Australia to schedule more day-night Tests: CA
International Cricket Council chief executive Dave Richardson said the Adelaide test was “a great advert for test cricket”.

West Indies team manager Richie Richardson believes just one practice match – against the Cricket Australia XI in Brisbane starting today – will be enough for his team to adequately prepare for the three-Test series against Australia.
Llong’s contentious reprieve of Nathan Lyon from a caught behind appeal took the wind out of New Zealand’s sails on day two and Australia grabbed another 108 runs from their last two wickets to take a slender lead that had earlier seemed improbable.
Australia starts a two-test series in New Zealand on February 12, with the Twenty20 World Cup to follow in March.
Siddle and Josh Hazlewood, man-of-the-match in the third test win over New Zealand in Adelaide, are virtually assured of lining up against West Indies in Hobart from December 10, with James Pattinson expected to replace the injured Starc.
Boland has been put on standby, with the player of the match in Adelaide, fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, having shouldered a heavy workload in the three Tests against the Black Caps and veteran quick Peter Siddle is battling a back injury. It’s not meant to change how test cricket is played.
West Indies can compete with Australia in the upcoming three-test series if they can exploit the inexperience in the hosts’ middle order, captain Jason Holder said yesterday.
The first test, which is followed by matches in Melbourne and Sydney, starts next week in Hobart, where unseasonably cold weather brought snowfall over the weekend.
“I think the last couple of days of a Test match can be quite hard for a fast bowler if you’re bowling 60 plus overs in a Test”.
“By the time Australia arrive on our shores after a pretty intense summer, we’ll be nearing our peak as a team”, McCullum said.
“How they prepare has nothing to do with me”, he said. We have to play aggressive cricket, we have to play smart cricket. “I thought New Zealand’s bowlers bowled just as well as ours”. “We’ve come with a lot of belief”, he said.
“Once I get home I can talk to the medical staff a bit more and map it out and see what it looks like, but at the moment it’s trying to let the bone heal for now”.

“We have a young team that we are grooming and we just hope they would gather as much experience in playing Australia”. “We are constantly striving to give cricket fans what they want and as such, with the endorsement of visiting countries, we will seek to schedule more day-night Tests”.
