‘Possibility’ San Bernardino was terrorist attack
As many as three gunmen opened fire inside a centre for the disabled in San Bernardino, California yesterday (Dec 2), killing at least 14 people and wounding 14 others before fleeing the scene, officials said. The chase ended in San Bernardino, south of the San Bernardino International Airport and north of Interstate 10, and gunfire erupted.

San Bernardino Police Chief Jarron Burguan says two suspects from today’s mass shooting in San Bernardino were killed in a shootout with police.
One of the suspects in a mass shooting that left at least 14 people dead in California has been identified as a man named Syed Farook, US media reported.
Police are apparently looking for up to three suspects. Cervanted also says that an officer was injured in the shootout. Others walked quickly from a building with their hands in the air and were searched by officers before being reunited with loved ones. “Despite those best efforts, I don’t know if there is a political or policy solution to this”, said O’Rourke.
Police have said the shooters are “heavily armed” and “came prepared”.
FBI Los Angeles Director David Bowdich said during a news briefing that investigators had not ruled out a terrorist attack, saying “it is a possibility but we don’t know this yet”.
It is unclear how many people were at the facility at the time of the shooting.
The bomb squad found a suspicious package on the second floor of a building and determined it is “not normal”, the source said. He says she wrote: “People shot”. He said a shooter entered the building next to his wife’s office and opened fire.
The shooters targeted the Inland Regional Center, a facility serving people with developmental disabilities. A third person was seen running from the area and authorities said that person was in custody.
A local reporter tweeted that people are being evacuated from the Inland Regional Center, a medical and health organisation. “They locked themselves in her office. We must take action to stop gun violence now”.
