Klopp will make a late decision on playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who missed Thursday’s 2-1 Europa League victory over Bordeaux with a hamstring injury.

“If it wasn’t someone with the quality of Daniel no-one would think about it”.

‘Everyone wants him back on the pitch but we all have to learn.

“It’s not important. It’s only important to think about our own progress”.

“I am very happy to have qualified, the team are very happy to have qualified, the club are very happy to be qualified, so you (journalists) can be very happy to have qualified” Klopp told reporters after the game.

We look ahead to Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Swansea City at Anfield on Sunday.

Klopp was pleased with the way his team managed to grind out a win.

Sturridge, who has 42 goals in 70 Liverpool appearances, joined the Reds from Chelsea in January 2013 and went on to score 28 times for club and country in 2013-14. For a player like him he is always [knocking] on the door saying “Give me five minutes, 10 minutes”. “When in that shape we can use him”, he continued. Do we forget it and move on, or is it indicative of something more significant long-term.

“It was a big fight, so we’re very satisfied, because easy games anyone can win”.

“I don’t know too much about the situation because it was in the afternoon after training”, the former Borussia Dortmund manager said, as quoted on Liverpool’s official site. “We will have to decide”, he said.
