Ben Simmons outstanding in LSU win over North Florida Ospreys
It’s the most points scored by a Louisiana State University (LSU) player since Shaquille O’Neal in 1991, with the freshman shooting 15-of-20 from the field and scoring 13-of-15 from the charity stripe.

He did it on Wednesday night in a close win over North Florida. But from the very beginning of the game you could tell that Simmons was going to have a big night.
North Florida (6-3) jumped out to an early lead that had LSU fans fearing yet another defeat, leading by as much as 24 points in the first half.
The LSU Tigers return to action on Wednesday evening, when coach Johnny Jones’ squad plays host to the North Florida Ospreys in a non-conference match-up.
Simmons and his LSU teammates were desperate for a victory.
