But a 23-point haul from forward Robert Covington laid the foundation for a deserved 103-91 Sixers victory as Bryant and the Lakers tumbled to 2-15, the worst record in the Western Conference. I knew I had to be better because of Kobe Bryant.
It would be fitting for the Lakers to further reward that loyalty by allowing him to help mold a struggling franchise back to its former glory. With the Lakers playing against the 76ers on Tuesday night, the Sixers used the opportunity to make a wonderful video tribute to Bryant, appropriately called “Dear Kobe”.
The 37-year-old finished with 20 points on a dismal 7-of-26 from the field and 4-of-17 from beyond the arc.
Bryant originally wore No. 8 for the first 10 years of his career, winning three championships in 2001, 2002 and 2003 while wearing the number.
Scott said some of Bryant’s shots were “ill-advised”. If you try to bump heads with him, it’s not going to work out well.
The 76ers said good riddance to the longest losing streak in major USA professional sports – winless in 28 games dating to last season. Grant filled the stat sheet, ending his night with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and four blocks.
Butler/NBAE/Getty Images Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant will be doing battle against each other this season as the Lakers superstar announced that this season will be his last in the NBA.
‘I know the world wanted to see it. I wanted it, we wanted it. He held up his end and I didn’t hold up my end, and I hate that. “But it’s a pleasure to say that I was there every step of the way watching this kid grow into who he is today”.

In the Sixers five previous games, they have had leads in the fourth quarter but have blown all of their leads to add to their historic losing streak.
