Jen Aulwes, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota, says the event raises money for advocacy and education. “I think it will be a really good time for people to come together and hear from her about where we are going in the future, and boost everyone’s morale a little bit”. Its clinics that perform abortions are in St. Paul, Rochester, Minnesota, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

“The events in California can be triggering and bring back memories of what they’ve been through”, Terrell-Orr said, though she did not have a number of patients who were affected by the recent shooting.

A service will be held Thursday to honor the life of an Iraq war veteran killed in last week’s attack at a Planned Parenthood branch.

Even though Colorado is thousands of miles away, Fox says employees in Birmingham are still feeling the aftershocks of Friday’s shootings but they are also still determined to fulfill their mission of serving women.
