San Bernardino shooting: Picture of suspects starts to emerge
But his father told the New York Daily News Farook was very religious.

Burguan confirmed that Farook was present at the event. As they fought to survive, Heinrich noted, they and hospital staff also had to deal with “officers with assault rifles going unit to unit looking for devices”.
She said she was forced to move out of her home with three of her children because her husband continually harassed her “verbally and physically and refused to leave the home”.
Burguan said 23 officers fired roughly 380 rounds at the couple, killing them both.
A third suspect seen fleeing that shootout was later detained.
People from across the nation and close to home were praying for San Bernardino on Wednesday night.
The health department was holding a traditional holiday banquet at the Inland Regional Center’s conference room when the shooting occurred at around 11:00 a.m. local time (1900 GMT). “And that she heard noises in the house, like it’s hitting the house”, he said.
Farook, who was born in the U.S., worked as an environmental health specialist for San Bernardino County, inspecting restaurants for health violations and public pools at apartment and housing complexes. The coworker said that Farook left the holiday party in a rush, leaving his coat behind.
“Based upon what we have seen and based upon how they were equipped, there had to have been some degree of planning that went into this”, said Chief Jarrod Burguan of the San Bernardino Police Department.
Officials said no conclusion had been made on a motive for the shooting, but they have not ruled out workplace violence or terrorism. Police then pursued that vehicle to San Bernardino, where they were fatally injured in a gun battle.
Kerry Heinrich, CEO of the Loma Linda hospital system, said Thursday it took in five patients from the shooting at the center. Video from the scene shows the SUV riddled with bullets.
Gabi Flores, an employee at the Inland Regional Center, recorded the moment when police officers escorted people to safety. Later police came and escorted people out of their offices. Courts, schools and other facilities in San Bernardino were placed on lockdown for security. San Bernardino Unified School District officials said more than 70 schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution. They said the suspects were either married or in a relationship.
Obama says it’s possible the massacre was related to terrorism but that authorities still don’t know. They returned as husband and wife. Aguilera said his wife was able to get out of the building unharmed. “Pray for us. I am locked in an office”, Terry Petit’s daughter, who works at the center, texted him.
Video has emerged showing the scene inside the building where the San Bernardino shooting took place. Triage units were set up outside, and people were wheeled away on stretchers.
“The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world”, he continued.

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch says the Justice Department will be offering “any and all assistance necessary” as the investigation into the California mass shooting continues.
