Connecticut senator has had enough of ‘thoughts’ and ‘prayers’
“How many dead people did those thoughts and prayers bring back to the life?”

Those offering prayers were shockingly mocked by “journalists” and others.
As if they didn’t have any shame already, the far-left New York Daily News tabloid gave readers on Twitter a sneak peek of its Thursday cover in which it lashed out at God-fearing people as “cowards” for praying in the wake of the San Bernardino, CA shooting when, in their minds, “God isn’t fixing this”.
The Daily News has another hard-hitting cover on the gun-control issue.
None of the Republican candidates have offered any kind of policy solution to address the gun violence in our country. Yes, that’s prayer: “meaningless platitudes”.
Gun control advocates, in a crescendo of anger, began telling their pro-gun Congressmen – who were busily tweeting their “thoughts and prayers” tweets – your thoughts and prayers have not translated into action, and time’s up. Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas said in response to Republican National Committee chair Reince Preibus saying he’d pray for the 14 dead.
There are many assumptions packed into these attacks on prayer: that all religious people, and specifically Christians, are gun supporters, and vice versa. Enough is enough: “it’s time to stand up to the @NRA and enact meaningful gun safety laws”, declared Democratic rival Martin O’Malley.
“Basically, if all you have to offer San Bernardino are your thoughts and prayers, you can go f-k yourself”, he added. The two opened fire on a holiday party being held at the Inland Regional Center.

“This divide is much greater than the simplistic NRA v. Obama/Bloomberg rhetoric”. Wonder what the liberals are thinking now. Prayer is not a cosmic Christmas list; it does not, as Kierkegaard once observed, change God; it does have the capacity to change those who pray, including those who publicly announce an intent to pray for others but stop short of seeking the same wisdom and strength for themselves in their capacity as political leaders.
