Daniel Sturridge’s performance against Southampton finally showed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp what the fuss was about.

Divock Origi opened his Liverpool account with a hat-trick and Daniel Sturridge scored twice in a 6-1 demolition of Southampton on Wednesday in the League Cup quarter-finals.
They are now closer to a trophy, sit just six points off top in the Premier League and are at the summit of their Europa League group. Victory would give the south coast club their first League Cup semifinal appearance in 29 years, and would be even sweeter against a side that have used Southampton as something akin to a feeder club in recent times.
Christian Benteke may get a breather so Roberto Firmino could lead the line up front while Philippe Coutinho may be back on the bench after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury. The have a great energy and they have qualities in the team.
The Saints were hammered 6-1 by the Reds in the Capital One Cup, with them falling apart in the second half of the game.
