Jurgen Klopp not at Liverpool for the weather
Daniel Sturridge’s performance against Southampton finally showed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp what the fuss was about.

Divock Origi opened his Liverpool account with a hat-trick and Daniel Sturridge scored twice in a 6-1 demolition of Southampton on Wednesday in the League Cup quarter-finals.
They are now closer to a trophy, sit just six points off top in the Premier League and are at the summit of their Europa League group. Victory would give the south coast club their first League Cup semifinal appearance in 29 years, and would be even sweeter against a side that have used Southampton as something akin to a feeder club in recent times.
Christian Benteke may get a breather so Roberto Firmino could lead the line up front while Philippe Coutinho may be back on the bench after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury. The have a great energy and they have qualities in the team.
The Saints were hammered 6-1 by the Reds in the Capital One Cup, with them falling apart in the second half of the game.
“At the moment there’s no limit to what Liverpool can do”. It is really far away but, of course, to win a title the only possibility is to go through all the rounds. They have been absolutely brilliant to watch.
Admittedly, they are entering to the game off the back of varying weekend results.
Jordon Ibe had replaced Sturridge before the hour mark and the promising youngster not only provided the through ball for Origi’s second goal, but got in on the scoring himself.
“It’s the options he has too”.
However, the Reds bounced back in the 26th minute, Daniel Sturridge making space in the box to hit a superb left-footed shot into the net.
“The whole club is buzzing, he seems to have a magic wand, and he’s come in and seems to have sprinkled magic dust on everyone, because they all look like completely different players”.
“In that quality we have to improve and we have to play our level, and if not they are very unsafe”.
“I told him ‘now I know what everybody’s talking about!’ the first time I saw him do it live for me in the stadium”. The right amount of information is very important.

Lallana backed Klopp to keep getting the best out of the team, saying the German’s insistence on hard work reminded him of his playing days at Southampton when he was arguably in the best form of his career under current Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
