Green Bay Packers Rumors: Aaron Rodgers Injury Denied as Ty Montgomery, Jared

“There’s a lot of pride in lacing it up every Sunday and knowing that it doesn’t matter what you’re dealing with, you’re going to play through it. We’ve all done it over the years”.

“It’s not something we think about going into a game that we’ve played great run defense because each game’s different, each running back’s different”, linebacker Clay Matthews said.

The Redskins likely will need to win once away from home to take the division title.

For the first time this season, the Green Bay Packers have admitted that Aaron Rodgers is hurt – not enough to keep him out of Wednesday’s practice completely and nearly certainly not enough to prevent him from playing on Sunday at Minnesota – but at least enough to warrant a spot on the injury report. This is pretty darn close if the Vikings want to hold onto the NFC North lead.

As for the Vikings, what a job Mike Zimmer has done with this team in the two years he’s been there. Green Bay is averaging 24.3 points and 344.3 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 20.6 points and 371.6 yards per game.

Where We’re Leaning: Can a first-place team that’s 7-2 and riding a five-game win streak truly have a “must-win” game?

While the Packers are longing deeply get out of the hole, they have to face the red hot Minnesota Vikings. In 15 games against the Packers, Peterson has 1,747 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs; he also has eight games with 100+ rushing yards and three games of 200+ total yards. “When he gets hit because of us, yeah, we get frustrated”.

Despite the three straight losses against the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions, Rodgers is not allowing himself to panic and change anything. Now the NFL Odds for the game have the Vikings favored to pick up the win in this one, but it is considered a toss-up with the close spread.

According to ESPN, Rodgers was tackled 11 times in the three games that have occurred since their bye week.

Still, Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer is looking at the big picture.

What makes the Vikings even more threatening offensively is that for once it looks like they have a true No. 1 receiver in Stefon Diggs. Rodgers is as good as there is. Aaron Rodgers has been fighting for his life behind a beat up offensive line and none of his receivers seem to be able to catch the football.
