Even though all that we’ve been hearing over the past couple of days in Apple world is news and speculation surrounding the upcoming iPhone 6S Duo, Apple’s has another product in the pipeline for quite a while now.
According to a recent report by Digitimes, Apple will place an order for the initial run of the new iPad Pro than it has done with other devices, as the company does not know how popular the device will be.
This may have had to do with weakening demand for iPads and tablets in general, which could have been caused by the growing popularity of smartphones with bigger screens as well as phablets. Shipments of tablets have declined by 6% year-over-year, according to a recent report from Business Insider Intelligence. All of this stands in line with earlier news that we’ve been hearing about the iPad Pro’s launch dates, but any exact specifications regarding the larger tablet are yet to be known. Since the iPad is likely to have a screen that’s about the same size as the one on Apple’s 13-inch MacBook, the idea is that people will be able to use it more easily for productivity.
Last month, iOS developers discovered certain features within the iOS 9 beta code pointing to an increased size for Apple’s new tablet.
It’s interesting that Apple may be holding back on orders for its much-mooted slate.
