12 pipe bomb-type devices found at US shooting suspects’ home
Officials said Farook and Malik had not been on the FBI’s radar as potential terrorists, CNN reported. Public records show it is a possible residence of a family member of Farook.

Some residents were allowed back to their homes Wednesday night with a police escort, depending on their proximity to the home, he said.
Stephens said she happened to call Thalasinos while he was at work and having a discussion with Farook.
The latest killings are likely to fuel to an ongoing debate about the definition of “terror attacks” in the United States and what role the ethnicity of perpetrators play in media coverage of gun violence.
But Farook and Malik slipped away in a black SUV.
As authorities continued to probe the backgrounds of the husband and wife responsible for America’s deadliest mass shooting since 2012, investigators and legislators from California to Washington, D.C., tried to understand what motivated the shooters.
“There was obviously a mission here”. “We don’t know why”.
“We don’t know at this point the extent of their plans. We just don’t know”.
Between 10 and 30 minutes passed from when Farook left the party and the shooting began, according to Burguan. Each had a semiautomatic rifle and a pistol. They weren’t married then, now they are.
Federal Bureau of Investigation officials were carrying out raids at an apartment in Redlands, where authorities were serving a search warrant connected to the shooting.

Chief Burguan said that in the police shootout with the suspects, law enforcement had fired 380 rounds, and the suspects 76 rounds. Farook was an American but Malik’s nationality has not been confirmed.
Authorities later found a 3-in-1 pipe bomb rigged to a remote control auto and four high-capacity rifle magazines left behind by the suspects. Burguan said he believed the suspects shot first. The rounds pocked the walls as he dived for cover onto the floor. All four firearms used in the shooting were purchased legally and registered.
More ammunition and more bombs were found inside the couple’s rented apartment in Redlands. Farook fired while Malik drove.
“We do know that two individuals who were killed were equipped with weapons and appeared to have access to additional weaponry in their home”.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is advising people to avoid the area.
He “enjoys working on vintage and modern cars, reads religious books, enjoys eating out sometimes. Enjoys travelling and just hanging out in the back yard doing target practice with his younger sister and friends”, his profile read.
“I have no idea why he would do that”, a visibly shaken Mr Khan told reporters, adding that he had last spoken with Farook about a week ago.
They’re investigating everything from workplace violence – Syed Farook was a colleague of those that he killed – and all the way down the spectrum to terrorism.
“I guess he’s missing the photo this year”, Baccari said he recalled thinking. “I don’t have words to express how sad and how devastated I am”.
Whatever their intentions, Farook and Malik caused an avalanche of pain.
St. Bernadine Medical Center and Community Hospital of San Bernardino were each treating two victims Thursday morning.
Nearby Loma Linda University Medical Center announced it was still treating five patients.
Of the injured, 10 were hospitalized in critical condition as of Thursday morning, according to San Bernardino Fire Chief Tom Hannemann, and three were in serious condition.

“There are some steps we could take, not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don’t happen as frequently”.
