Stephen Curry, Paul George Named Players of the Month
Curry, the defending victor of the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award, lived up to his reputation for knocking down shots from all over the court. The Golden State Warriors continue rolling, now 20-0 after a 116-99 win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Speaking after his remarkable performance in his college town Charlotte, Curry said: “In the National Basketball Association, there are so many great teams and great talents, to be able to put on a run like this it’s special”. Curry said. “I made a promise to coach McKillop and my family that when I left school back in ’09 that that would be accomplished-and it will be soon”. But it is when he is racking up those points that shows just how dominant he has been this season. We don’t always play our best, but we find ways to win. I’d say he was “inspired” by his dad, but we all know Curry does this kind of thing on an nearly nightly basis.
Recently named coach of the month, interim coach Luke Walton said “We don’t focus on the streak, we do’t talk about it a bunch in the locker room”.
Thompson finished with 21 points while Green grabbed 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the Warriors.
Stephen Curry (C) of the Golden State Warriors makes a no-look pass as he is defended by Jeremy Lamb (L), Kemba Walker (No. 15) and Cody Zeller (R) of the Charlotte Hornets in Charlotte, North Carolina, Wednesday.
Guard Nicolas Batum led the way with 17 points. He scored a season-high 53 points on October 31 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
“You expect to make them even though some nights it’s off”. [Photo by Brian A. Westerholt/Getty Images] also told reporters that the Warrior’s 20-0 victory so far was nothing short of surreal.
The Golden State Warriors are playing on another level right now.
After the game, Curry shared a hug with Newton and they talked about planning time to hang out.
Curry has a not so secret connection to the Charlotte area.

“When you get on a streak like that, it’s fun”, he said.
