Jones’ unpredictability one of five things to watch in Grey Cup contest

The Redblacks scored a quick touchdown on their opening drive to go up 7-0.

Reilly orchestrated an eight-play, 88-yard drive just before the half, capping it with a short touchdown pass to Akeem Shavers with less than 10 seconds left on the clock.

Reilly hit Nate Coehoorn at the one-yard line, and third string quarterback Jordan Lynch plunged in from a yard out to put the Eskimos up for good. For Grey Cup, the league is using the Blue Bombers equipment staff to handle it, making it no different than a normal game according to Johnson.

Eskimos receiver Shamawd Chambers caught 2 passes for 49 yards and was selected the Outstanding Canadian player in the game.

Today the Eskimos look to win their first Grey Cup championship in 10 years in the 103 Grey Cup game as they play the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

This is understandable from Edmonton, but I have a proposal: just get a lumberjack team of your own!

Chris Jones was the only coach to not have a successful challenge during the regular season. He also rushed ten times for 66 yards. The RedBlacks led 13-10 after the first quarter.

“I can tell you this, it won’t be anything that we haven’t done before”, he said.

The Redblacks advanced to the championship game in their second season in the league. Now the question remains how long he’ll remain with reports the Saskatchewan Roughriders will ask permission to speak with Jones about their vacant head coach and GM positions.

Will Edmonton repeat as Grey Cup champs in 2016? There’s more cameras and there’s more people and more people watching, but the way to win the football game doesn’t change.

Watkins had an interception off an under-thrown Henry Burris pass while covering Williams in the first quarter.

“I try to when we get to a game like this it’s already something they’ve heard before so they have a comfort level that they’ve run it and executed it before so we can play at a high level”. But we had ample opportunities to go down and put this game out of reach.

Reilly, who has led Edmonton to nine straight wins since returning to the starting lineup, agreed.

Whyte had been Mr. Automatic since joining the Eskimos for the Labour Day game in Calgary, hitting 27 of 29 field goals through the West Division final, but missed two of his first three attempts Sunday. “However, in response to concerns raised, and as the game is meant to be at played at a neutral site, the touchdown celebration that normally occurs at Redblacks’ home games will not be allowed between kickoff and the final gun”.

On the season, Lynch was 3 for 4 passing with 14 yards and a touchdown and had 40 rushes for 156 yards and five touchdowns.
