Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has reportedly agreed to be the next head coach at Georgia.
Alabama color commentator Phil Savage said on the radio Thursday that he has heard Smart will remain with the Tide for the rest of the season if they make the playoffs.

But let me stop telling you how good Richt and his staffs have been at Georgia, I’ll just show you instead. He’s been with me for a while and has done a great job. According to the school’s release, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt as well as other assistants will maintain their usual roles.
Donnan believes that landing Cochran would be no small accomplishment for Smart given the importance of that position.

He said he told players they should be happy for a coach who has “worked hard to create another opportunity for himself” and that they’ve been through such coaching changes before.
