‘Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice’ trailer reveals plot, action and Doomsday
Meanwhile, Henry Cavill proved to be a more than serviceable Superman in 2013’s pretty good “Man of Steel”. It also introduces a powerful villain that unites the sparring superheroes: Doomsday – the unrelenting beast who, in the DC universe, is known for killing Superman. “We just have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns”.

Landing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer truly showcases the animosity between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne, setting up the massive showdown between the two characters and how Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor is pulling some strings. Superman entered the scene and landed, with some guards in black uniform and looked at the Dark Knight, before he astonishingly unmasked the latter. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, because hearing Bruce Wayne deliver the ominous line “Do you bleed? I love it”, he says.
But perhaps the greatest surprise? an appearance by Wonder Woman in an epic fiery finale.
The action then picks up and viewers are treated to a first glimpse of Doomsday, the previously unseen baddie with terrifying laser eyes, who kills Superman in the comics. I know a lot of us were expecting him to be in there but you don’t have to confirm it by actually showing him in the trailer, why not save that big reveal for the movie?
As you can see, Michael Shannon’s General Zod from Man of Steel is brought back in an interesting way.
Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on March 25, 2016.
