Pochettino believes that Son Heung-Min, Clinton Njie, Nacer Chadli and Erik Lamela could be used as strikers to reduce the pressure on Kane, but he acknowledged that all four of those players are more comfortable playing as attacking midfielders.

“We have offensive players that can play like Harry”, he said. “There is Sonny or Chadli or Clinton – they can play like a striker”, Pochettino is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“But maybe it’s true (that Spurs will sign a striker in January)”. We’re very young, we have the youngest team in the Premier League but we are very ambitious and our motivation is to win every game. West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino is claimed to remain a target, but whether he possesses the “good attitude” Pochettino desires is a matter of opinion, after the immature way he handled the breakdown of his move to White Hart Lane in the summer. “Maybe we are interested in different players – that is our job”.
He said: “You can’t be more anxious about some players because of rumours or what happened in the summer”.

“If the football side say it affects the equilibrium of the squad if we have a player (Andros Townsend) that doesn’t want to be here then we will look at it”.
