BlueStacks launches BlueStacks 2, a mobile gaming platform

The new platform boasts more enhanced technology as compared to its predecessor; thanks largely to the addition of new features for improved gameplay and app discovery. As such, users can now switch between Windows and OS X with just a tap. Recently, the company said its Android user base surpassed both Xiaomi and Sony to become the ninth largest in the world.

BlueStacks essentially creates a virtual machine on a traditional computer to run Android apps. In version 2, users can access customizable functions, like setting a location, shaking the screen (for apps that use the gesture on mobile devices), adjusting the volume, and more.

First and foremost, BlueStacks 2 now comes with a revised interface that looks fresh and modern and gives you better control over installed apps, while also letting you download new ones faster. For people who tend to frequently message in between playing games, BlueStacks can also run multiple apps at the same time in different tabs.
