Mike Madden, who was one one of the first officers on scene, describes his experience during a news conference near the site of a mass shooting on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 in San Bernardino, Calif. A husband and wife opened fire on a holiday banquet, killing multiple people on Wednesday.
Malik and Farook were married two years ago and had a 6-month-old baby, according to Hussam Ayloush, head of the Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group.
Burguan said 14 people were killed in the attack, with another 14 seriously wounded and many more suffering minor injuries.
Farook had been at the party and left “under some circumstances that were described as angry”, San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan told reporters Wednesday night.
Twenty-one people were injured before the day was out, including two police officers, authorities said.
The mass shooting during a holiday party at Inland Regional Center on Wednesday in San Bernardino, California, is the deadliest since the 2012 incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Federal agents have traced the origins of the four guns recovered from the suspects, at least two of them bought legally, according to the New York Times.
An imam at the local mosque that Farook attended denied that and said there was no indication he held extremist views. Authorities did not say how the rifles got into the attackers’ hands.
The year before, in 2013, Kuko said, Farook told him about a Pakistani woman living in Saudi Arabia whom he hoped to marry, and he asked for Kuko’s blessing. “That was a hard choice to have to make as well, passing people we knew were injured and in need of assistance, but our goal at that time had to be trying to locate the shooters and deal with them”, he stated.

As well as the 14 fatalities, a further 21 were wounded in the shooting.
With the latest mass shootings in Paris, as well as in Colorado and California fresh in the public’s mind, Democrats argued sentiment was again turning in their favor on gun control.
“She (Tashfeen Malik) got the visa in Pakistan”.
When Farook returned to the U.S.in July 2014, he brought Malik on a so-called fiancee visa, law enforcement officials said.
Early reports indicate Malik may not originally be from the United States and as of this writing, the general consensus seems to be that she hails from a predominantly Muslim part of the world.
Co-worker Patrick Baccari said he was sitting at the same table as Farook, who suddenly disappeared.
Farhan Khan, who is married to Farook’s sister, said he last spoke to him about a week ago. Kuko said he heard Farook moved to Redlands, but it was unusual that someone would have left without saying goodbye.
“I think we can do more to keep our families safe”, said Stephanie Grabow.
