Anthony Joshua: ‘Tyson Fury fight will happen’

I can’t remember ever watching a heavyweight championship fight and simultaneously laughing and crying at the same time.

Fury had earlier said: “Wladimir Klitschko was the number one in the division, probably the pound-for-pound king, whatever that means”.

No private jets for British sport’s new big thing. I want to be a great champion. According to The Telegraph, his uncle, who is also his trainer, suggested a rematch in May at Wembley Stadium in London. “Money, fame and glory doesn’t change a man unless he wants it to”.

Many say he needs to change. But the larger than life character has crossed over from boxing into the mainstream. It would be nothing like Fury’s fight with the arguably over-the-hill Wladimir.

Allied to Fury’s triumph, Manchester now has four world champions, but the 27-year-old would not be drawn on whether he would fight in his home city in the future. “I won’t be dictated to by anyone”.

“I’m really happy with how it went”. Whereas Tyson Fury can’t break an egg, he isn’t aggressive and he certainly can’t box like Douglas and I doubt he has the grit and determination of Ruiz.

While Fury is done for the year, doing it in style against a fighter whose last defeat was in 2004, Haye on the other hand will be entering the ring for the first time in three years.

Klitschko has the option of a rematch and Fury has no problem giving the 39-year-old veteran his chance. Fury called it a “masterclass”. Get up, get up and bow, get up and bow to my son every one of you. “Appreciate what you are seeing, because you haven’t seen anything like this before”.

Vitali entered Fury’s dressing room at Dusseldorf’s Esprit Arena to examine the taping but left a lasting mark which has been pictured alongside Fury’s new championship belts. With that said, who will Tyson Fury fight next?

“I didn’t want to take drinks or food from anyone”. “I was expecting him to be stronger”.

His status as the No. 1 IBF contender makes him a worthy opponent for the Englishman, who will no doubt target the division’s top names after beating Klitschko. And the presence of the erratic Fury makes it lively and unmissable. Which is precisely what I did during the Wladimir Klitschko 64-4 (53) vs. Tyson Fury 25-0 (18) championship bout this past Saturday.
