Putin calls for broad global anti-terror front
The Russian president called the downing of the Russian warplane a war crime and said Turkey will regret its actions “more than once”.

“We must leave all arguments and disagreements behind and make one powerful fist, a single anti-terror front, which would work on the basis of global law under the aegis of the United Nations”, Mr Putin said in his annual state-of-the-nation address. “But if someone thinks that after committing heinous war crimes, the murder of our people, it will end with tomatoes and limitations in construction and other fields, then they are deeply mistaken”, Putin said.

Erdogan slammed the claims as “slander” and in turn accused Russian Federation of involvement with the IS oil trade, alleging that Turkey had evidence of that. Terrorists use that money to plan attacks against us, France, Mali and others.
The OSCE ministerial conference in Belgrade, Serbia, set the stage for the first face-to-face meeting of high-level Russian and Turkish officials since the Turkish air force shot down a Russian jet just on November 24.
Putin said that his country will take constructive steps against Turkey. “From this point of view, we believe that it’s absolutely right to claim that it is impossible to continue interaction with the incumbent authorities in Turkey”, the Russian lawmaker told TASS. “We are expecting from our friend and neighbor Russian Federation a cool and calm assessment of what is going on”, Davutoglu said.
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu accused Moscow of running a “Soviet propaganda machine” along the lines of the Communist Party mouthpiece daily Pravda.
Turkish officials have said the plane violated Turkish airspace and had been warned repeatedly.
The Russian leader also blamed the rise of al-Qaida, Isis and their offshoots on imperialist intervention.
Turkey is not involved in economic sanctions against Iran and Russian Federation, he said. “According to Cavusoglu, Turkey hopes that the situation in Ukraine will be resolved while respecting the independence of the state, as well as its political unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, including Crimea”, UNIAN reports.
Turkey claims that the jet had strayed into its airspace, claims Moscow denies.
